With guidance from executive safety leadership, the Senior Manager, Safety draws on a strong knowledge and understanding of safety to effectively manage the Company’s loss prevention program. The Senior Manager, Safety represents the safety department to internal senior leadership and key external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Provides recommendations on and assists executive safety leadership with the development of policies, standards and procedures.
Disseminates information to leadership, monitors adherence to safety policies and procedures and relays findings to senior leadership as appropriate.
Partners with safety leaders to answer questions and respond to loss prevention program related issues.
Assists with the preparation of statistical data and/or background material for management reports on a regular basis.
Oversees and manages the Company’s loss prevention programs to ensure consistency in approach and execution. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of the Company’s training and standards, such as Focus 6, Defensive Driver Training and Safe Actions for Excellent Booklet.
Makes presentations to key clients and potential stakeholders to effectively and professionally communicate the Company’s safety performance programs.
Represents the Company at industry events and safety forums, such as Together for Safer Roads.
Assists executive safety leadership with the development and implementation of the Company’s safety programs, including Dedicated to Safety and Dedicated to Excellence, which drive the Company’s focus and commitment to safety.
Travels a minimum of 30% of the time to field locations.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in all aspects of safety, including OSHA, DOT, safety policy and procedure development, and loss control (required).
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field of study.
Technical education in safety and related compliance.
