The Product Analyst supports Republic Services strategy of “Growth Through Differentiation” by supporting product strategies that achieve targeted profitable revenue growth and product durability. The Product Analyst evaluates and leverages market insights, supports and review prototype results, and conducts financial analysis for new and existing products across the portfolio. The Product Analyst collaborates cross-functionally to understand customer needs, supports business cases, creates awareness programming, and fosters partnerships to develop value-added products and enhancements. The Product Analyst is a high functioning and developmental role that proactively seeks to identify potential problems, and facilitates enhanced user-friendly processes to drive improvements in sales & customer journeys.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Supports development and productization of current and new products, features, enhancements, processes, and programming to support overall department initiatives and goals.
Acts as a "Product Champion", building internal and external awareness, understanding, and support for assigned products.
Monitors, analyzes, and leverages market research, industry trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify the most effective product value propositions, develop appropriate product metrics and goals, and create sustained competitive advantages.
Gains a deep understanding of customer needs as compared to organizational competency, capacity, and readiness.
Supports the development and presentation of business programs supporting new products and enhancement opportunities.
Supports a test and learn environment, analyzes and leverages prototypes, and ensures quality in testing product opportunities.
Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Revenue, Finance and Business Development.
Strives to most effectively represent products to sales and customers via sales collateral, internal communications, awareness programming, and on line tools.
Tracks and analyzes product performance across KPI metrics, including financial, technical, operational, and customer satisfaction data.
Proactively supports improvements to sales & customer systems, seeks to simplify complex workflows, identifies potential problems, and facilitates enhanced, intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for sales and customer journeys.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field, plus 2 years of prior experience as a product analyst or related role; or 5 years business experience in a marketing, communications, or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a product analyst or related role. (Required)
Experience with interpretation & application of market and customer insights.
Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field.
Experience with sales strategy and implementation including market research, customer prospecting, sales promotion and customer retention strategies.
Experience using financial acumen to apply insights to program prototypes.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
